Time to move from Riptide RV Resort & Marina to Pelican’s Landing Resort. We jumped on I-95N for a 4 hour drive. It’ll be our first time experiencing summer weather (defined as rainy season from May to October), in Florida. We had researched a good location to stay... staying coastal as much as possible... that would be a good basecamp for some surf, beach visits, possibility to play on our porta bote, and close enough to theme parks.
Arrive: May 1
Depart: May 27 (heading to Ormond Beach, FL)
Website:
Pelican’s Landing Resort

There was a few days of rotten-egg smell in the air. It was unbearable to enjoy the outdoors even on a breezy, hot day. We found out that there might be something amok with the Indian River where "on occasion emits an odor that rips the paint off boathouses and staggers the pelicans"– Orlando Sentinel ...even dating back since the 80s.
