Now that we've returned from delivering our motorhome from Florida to Arizona, we have a pretty good idea about our RV's miles per gallon average.
The Sunstar LX 27N has an 80 gallon fuel capacity. It was a great time to drive cross country with the cheap gas prices ranging from $1.64/gal to $1.96/gal. We drove 2,406 miles to safely deliver our Winnie back home. It only cost $603.75. We drove an average of 55mph to 65mph. We only stayed 3 nights at RV parks while the rest we were boondocking using our ONAN generator throughout the night for a/c.
Conclusion: We averaged 8.41 mpg with our Triton 6.8L v10 (no toad). The best we saw was 9.44 mpg all highway miles.
