Been reading various articles about the Carry-On Only Challenge (tips including but not limited to the gear and equipment they use for long journeys). In search for the ideal carry-on bag, they all seem to have the disclaimer that their carry-on met the size restrictions on "most" airlines.
1. Which airlines were they talking about?
List of Airlines with Carry-On Specs at 22″ x 14″ x 9″
Airlines that allow for carry-ons alittle BIGGER THAN: 22″ x 14″ x 9″
- British Airways (22″ x 18″ 10″)
- ANA International (22″ x 16″ x 10″)
- JAL International (22″ x 16″ x 10″)
- JetBlue (EMBRAER 190: 24″ x 16″ x 10″ | Airbus A320: 26″ x 18″ 12″)
- Frontier Airlines (24″ x 16″ x 10″)
- Alaska Airlines (24″ x 17″ x 10″)
- Southwest Airlines (24″ x 16″ x 10″)
Research concludes that the most popular and safest carry-on size to purchase would be 22″ x 14″ x 9″. Check out my side-by-side comparison between the Osprey Porter 46 and the Eagle Creek: Digi Hauler
