Sydney is a waterfront paradise with its water ferries, coastal boardwalks that stretch out for miles of walking, to its bays and beaches. We had our morning coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach and worked up an appetite. We decided to explore dining options in/around the Circular Quay and Opera Quay area that offered views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
You can see a glimpse of people participating in the BridgeClimb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
We walked up and down checking various menus from Eastbank Cafe bar pizzaria, Wahlburgers Opera Quay, Whalebridge - a french restaurant to the Opera Bar and Bistro but settled on Searock Grill.
Check out the views and dining experience for those at the Opera Bar and Bistro. No shade though.
At Searock Grill, we ordered:
• Baked Salmon -- Fresh Tasmanian salmon fillet marinated in coconut cream & chilli jam, baked in banana leaf served with broccolini (42 AUS)
• Salt & Pepper Calamari Meal -- Fried marinated fillets, herb mayo, rocket, chilli & lemon (34 AUS)
With drinks (juice and a beer) our total bill was: 115 AUS / ~$75 US
CONCLUSION
If you're looking for coastal backdrops while you dine, head to the Circular Quay and Opera Quay area for some delicious food. Although we lunched at a casual, outdoor patio restaurant that was not-so-cheap, there are still cheap, affordable eateries and dining options in/around the area too.
