We just said goodbye to Hawaii for our 3rd time. 1st moving from Waikiki to our RV in America. 2nd moving from Oahu to Florida. Now, moving from Waianae to Tampa. Again, sad to say goodbye for now to friends we've made along the way on this move back to the mainland. We are looking forward again to all the cruise ports, sporting events, biking trails, and the arts & entertainment that flows through Tampa.

[Update] As of April 14, 2026 - There are zero 2-bedrooms on the market at MVT. The Oahu condo market looks to be experiencing a slowdown, but has 30 active 1-bedroom units for sale and 1 unique 2-bedroom/2-bath from two units combined (which means double the property tax and increased hoa fees).

Since we left this Makaha building battled a second fire in three months (Jan 30, 2026)... the other a 2-alarm fire that sent a woman to the hospital (Nov 6, 2025). Then, a strong Kona Low storm caused widespread damage in West Oahu from February 7–9, 2026 because of its 50-70mph winds with 60-70mph gusts. 🙏 Pray for Hawaii.
