10:00AM Meet Up

Today's ride touches Arizona, California and Nevada borders.

In the desert, it's important to take water breaks and restroom stops where/whenever possible.

Stranded vehicle with a flat tire and sunk deep into the sand... someone was playing too hard in the middle of nowhere. Hope that person was on a group ride.

Love being in higher elevations with beautiful downhill views. There was one section that was a blind but quick descent. Building up some confidence with our vehicle.

Hills, Hills, Hills

In / Around Cottonwood Mine at an Abandoned Ranch

We hike uphill for a different perspective.

Had to be careful where we parked the Polaris. Lots of rusty nails around.

We also had lunch while enjoying the cool breezes with great company.

Time to head back but with a pitstop to find a waterfall location near the Dead Mountain Wilderness.

Had someone scout if the waterfall route was passable, but alas... a section with a pucker factor so we eventually drove around to see both the top and bottom perspectives of the area.

I free climb up to get the lay of the land.

Mom is tiny, tiny on the lower left-hand side of this picture.

Found a really cool, shallow cave.

Eventually, I also climb up (highlighted) this area for my drone views.

Our scout explores in his rig.

It's so quiet up here. Talk about social distancing. No one else climbed up.

Mom's having fun.
