Who's Watching the Movie - Sound of Freedom?

Our 1st Visit to the Town Center of Mililani

With errands nearby, we coordinated them with a lunch date and a movie. 

First, lunch at Thai Village.

Bill had already snacked so we shared the - Chicken Garlic Curry: fried garlic, coconut milk, and mushrooms over shredded cabbage. 👩‍🍳 🍽️ Gotta try cooking this at home. Simple but delish!

Now, Let's Go to a Movie!

We enjoy "based on a true story" films. Some of my favorites: Catch Me If You Can, Moneyball, Schindler's List, The Blind Side, Into the Wild, Wild, Inventing Anna, The Imitation Game, BlacKkKlansman, and On the Basis of Sex... to name a few. They are typically moving and have great storytelling.

The last 3 movies we saw, in the theater, were:

• Top Gun: Maverick - Release Date: May 27, 2022

Yeah, it's been a while. We heard about Sound of Freedom from friends when I watched a trailer. After that, we found out it was playing at Consolidated Theaters Mililani.

The Box Office Results 

As of the weekend of July 21 - 23, Sound of Freedom has $124,433,512 since its July 4th release with a 99% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. (Source: Box Office Mojo). It is only available in the United States and hasn't been released Worldwide unlike the major blockbusters below.

According to Filmmaking Lifestyle, "The average cost to make a movie is between $50 million and $100 million." According to Wikipedia, Angel Studios had a $14.5 million budget to make this movie.
