QUESTION: If you only had one day at Kings Canyon, what would you do or see?

We had just left River Run RV Park (Bakersfield, CA). Luckily we didn’t have to wait to check-in when arriving at Three Rivers RV Park (Three Rivers, CA). We were able to setup and get going for some sightseeing by 10am. The host gave us a tip to get to Kings Canyon. We would have to back track downhill but would be well worth shaving off an hour’s drive versus a longer winding, curvy route.
NATIONAL PARK TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
Already amazed at the trees here at Grant Tree Trail… right around the parking lot! Happy after all the driving to get here that there were restroom facilities open, too.
Off on the trail we go to find the Fallen Monarch Tree, Gamlin Cabin and the famous General Grant Tree which is highlighted in separate posts. But here’s a glimpse of the trail and the feeling we experienced around this Giant Forest.
