Some unplanned pleasant surprises while staying at Lake Waco was finding out The Swartzs home from Season 4 Episode 9 of Fixer Upper is docked here.
Now, a famous Waco houseboat to rent through Airbnb for $300/night.
It's located right next to The Minnow Restaurant which was closed due to covid-19.
FIXER UPPER HOUSEBOAT
To celebrate having found the houseboat on our own, we took the time to watch the episode. Pretty cool setting with the breeze, shade and birds chirping.
The only difference we noticed from the episode how it stands today was that the wood on the deck has darkened with age... I guess it was left untreated so didn't have that natural wood pop of color to contrast against the shou sugi ban dark wood.
