QUESTION: Have you seen Flying Fish or a Baby Octupus?

We jump aboard the Dolphin Star offering a tour of the Wai’anae Coast. Although dolphins the highlight of the tour was to search for wild spinner dolphins, it was the snorkeling that I truly enjoyed the most.
First Time: Spotting Flying Fish (aka Mālolo in Hawaiian)
The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle (aka Honu)
For those with an adventurous spirit, jump in the water and snorkel in the warm waters of Oahu. So glad on this day to spot a number of Hawaiian Sea Turtles, too! If you can hold your breath for a good while, then freedive down to the ocean bottom is a real treat.
First Time: Making Friends with a Baby Octopus
Our guide was so talented in spotting, then diving down to show us this baby octupus on the ocean floor. Octupus is called tako (Japanese) or he'e (Hawaiian). Wasn't he a cutey?! Didn't want to hurt this precious little creature that had clinged on to my arm. It sounded like ripping off velcro when our guide pulled him off me to place him on Bill's arm. When they do grow up though, octopus makes for some great tako poke.
