Monte Vista RV Resort Map
Perfect location of our home for the next 5 days. Close to the entrance/exit and the main facilities -- the clubhouse, pool and whirlpool, laundry room, tennis courts...
Such a nice service to have an escort take us to our RV spot. This place is huge and the RV spots are situated in-between homesites of those who are here full-time and part-time. The community is like taking a step back into Pleasantville.
Love having a smaller RV (29-ft) when you're given a spot with so much space! Gravel section for the RV and the cemented drive through for your towed vehicle -- Site #538 on 5th Ave.

Monte Vista RV Resort Rule: You Must Wear Your Name Tag
Only a few negatives for Monte Vista RV Resort.
#1 -- Having to wear name tags anywhere on the resort. I guess there's been history of non-community / non-guests using their facilities without paying. I wouldn't have minded as much if the name tags were a lanyard, a magnetic tag, or simply a bracelet. Instead, they were the cheap plastic name pins that put holes in your clothes.
#2 -- THE INTERNET: You had to go to the clubhouse. It was a really nice clubhouse with big screen TVs, puzzles, couches, tables and chairs, and a big book library but my preference would always be to connect from the RV. Once 3 to 4 other people are at the clubhouse using Wifi, then the connection would slow down like dial-up. It'd be nice if they mentioned services to pay for reliable Wifi for RVers (i.e. Camplink.net which other RV Park Owners have used.)
I did like that the car has a parking permit that you hang on the rearview, so that the person working at the security gate can easily identify you and wave you in. Very efficient.
