Born Mel Puu, Bradah Mel is a renowned lifeguard, traditional surfer, and waterman from Mākaha, O’ahu. In 2005, the Braddah Mel's Waterman Surfing Championship was established.
We had an action-packed day of finals here in Makaha, Hawaii. From Tandem Surfing, Supsquatch Surfing and Outrigger Canoe Surfing on big waves... the Braddah Mel's event really showcased a variety of ocean sports enjoyed by many in Hawaii.
If you haven't seen big waves before, plan accordingly. Winter = North/West. Summer = South.
