We enjoyed staying in Debbie’s New & Clean Makati Condo w/Balcony between Dec.16-26. Renting a vacation property versus staying at a hotel, we had some doubt if their ad matches what you actually get upon arrival. Happy to say that the pictures, represented on Airbnb, matched what we saw when we walked into the studio.
Review: New & Clean Makati Condo w/Balcony
Our Host
We had great communication with Debbie prior and during our stay from Dec 16-24. We were coming from Baler, Aurora and communicated our approximate arrival with Manila traffic and trying to hail a taxi... Debbie already had her assistant, Marlin, patiently waiting for us at the condo. Marlin was great at welcoming us and showing us the features of the condo. Debbie called Marlin upon our arrival and walked us through setting up our Wifi connection. We also experienced an easy check-out... simply dropping the keys in her mailbox in the downstairs lobby. Debbie was helpful in letting us know which terminal our flight goes out of.
Comfort
We enjoyed having 4 pillows and a comfy bed. There's so little to complain about. If I were to make suggestions, maybe to have some way for the curtains to blackout the morning light so we could sleep in. Your head is right underneath the window and the morning nudges you to wake. Who doesn't like sleeping-in on vacation?! *Wink* In the bathroom, my only recommendation(s) would be a bath mat to step on after a shower and investing in an air filter. They kept the windows open next to the elevators so any pollution outdoors gets inside the building and easily seeps into the studio giving your lungs... or in my case, allergies...no respite. But these are such small things... since anything you need is a very short stroll:
– to the market for groceries, toiletries, etc.
– several choices for restaurants
– even a spa
– laundry service
... all right in the building!! Loved the location of the condo! It was very convenient!
WiFi
We’ve heard that internet in the Philippines is slow and can somewhat be unreliable. Happy to say that there were only a few occasions... typically on a really rainy day that Wifi wasn't working.
Security
The SM Jazz Residences has a lobby staff, doorman and security guards at all entrances.
Noise Level
Although we were high up on the 35th floor, you will still hear the hustle & bustle of the city so, bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to it. I slept fine.
What's Nearby
We frequently visited the restaurants... were able to have our laundry done twice... plus, visited the spa... all downstairs! It only took us about 30 minute to walk to Greenbelt, Glorietta and The Landmark malls from Makati Ave. (also the MRT Ayala Station, if needed). If you're a tourist who is visiting more than 59 days, the Bureau of Immigration office is only a 15-20min walk away.
