Carnival Miracle: Leisure Walk from the Cozumel Cruise Terminal (Quintana Roo, Mexico)

Now aboard the Carnival Miracle, we visit Cozumel -yet again. This port stop is very, very popular on Western Caribbean cruise itineraries. How do I know? This would be my 6th visit to this port from our past Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruises. With so many visits behind us, this time around we check out Chedraui Cozumel - the local supermarket while taking a leisurely walk off the main road (Av. Rafael E. Melgar) to enjoy the sights.

Chedraui Cozumel off of Av. Rafael E. Melgar is only 2.1mi from the Cozumel Cruise Terminal (Terminal de Cruceros, Quintana Roo). It's actualy a supermarket with a full grocery store and department store all under one roof!

Depending on the time of year, it may be scorching hot out for the walk, but doable. You have to decide if a taxi is worth the cost.

Here are a few things we saw on our return walk from Chedraui:

Wonderful graffiti art

Dolphinaris Cozumel - Marine attraction allowing visitors to feed, pet & swim with trained dolphins in a tropical setting. Unfortunately, you can't see or even get a glimpse of the dolphins without paying an entrance fee. We walked onward.

Punta Caletita Lighthouse

It stands from 118 to 121 feet tall. We had to investigate further.

Cozumel Wildlife

It's easy to play the game of "Spot the Lizard" on your walk.

Oceanview Drinks with a Snack

A much deserved snack break at Sunset Restaurant & Bar. The pork rinds we bought at the department store and shared with the staff there. We couldn't finish it all. Only 0.6mi from the Cruise Ship Terminal, it's a bit quieter, offers great views, snacks and drinks. Downstairs they have a Dive Shop and Del Mar Spa giving massages, too.
