We had to passthrough Texas to get home to Arizona… but where haven’t we been yet? As fans of HGTV’s Fixer Upper show, we planned our pitstop at their Silos Baking Co before settling in at Lake Waco Marina and Campground.
We leave for Louisiana tomorrow morning. We’ve spent 2 weeks in Texas enjoying restaurants, Dallas Stars plus Dallas Mavericks pro games, taking in a spa day, and catching up with everyone. But, what better way to end the holidays but with an evening relaxing, no formalities, no crowds, no more fighting crazy shoppers and Dallas traffic. Perfect evening at The Kopps.
We picked Hidden Valley RV Park because it’s situated in the outskirts of San Antonio and was a bit of country. We’ve seen the variety of wildlife in the area from their website’s photo gallery. This morning, we take a stroll on the property to see if we can spot any wildlife. We got lucky!
We rented a 35 ft Fleetwood Bounder from Dallas to Houston to catch our first RV Show. Lots to learn! Finally, the opportunity to visualize myself in a motorhome and answer those burning questions like: How small of an RV is too small? Is 1 slide out enough? Does it matter which way the bed faces? How much closet do we really need? How much kitchen counter top and pantry space do we need to cook in here? It’s all so exciting to get answers!
