Haven't tried fishing from any of the bridges here in the Florida Keys. It's too windy to take the porta-bote out anyways. We head to No Name Key Bridge... right next to the Old Wooden Bridge Marina where we've rented a boat slip for the month. What an exciting day of fishing it was, too! Bill caught a Cero Mackerel and I caught a nicely sized (3-5lb) Black Grouper.
Not only that but we saw others catching such a variety The most memorable? A 6-8ft. nurse shark that got away. After 15-20min. fight, the fisherman's line broke. What a catch it would've been but I don't think he would've been able to reel it up the bridge. 2nd takeaway from today's outing? Today, I learned to take the hook out of the fish's mouth.
