Any fans of the music of: Havana by Camila Cabello; The Girl from Ipanema by Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz; Despacito by Luis Fonsi. You can’t help but dance to these songs as my mom also practices playing the first two songs on our humble keyboard.
I believe the backstory of the making of this chapel is that it was made by a local offroading club for one of their long time members who was getting married. What joy! It was our 2nd attempt to discover it from random clues. It’s a perfect short ride… about 8 miles from home.
We may not be attending any New Year’s Parties but we always can take the time to be thankful for the positive things that did happen this year.
We’ve enjoyed stays at: Paris Las Vegas, The LINQ Hotel, and Luxor Hotel & Casino in previous trips to Vegas. Those accommodations are typical rooms… usually 300 to 450 square feet… with two double or queen beds. You imagine winning big and getting a hotel room like this. This time, we found a promotion to enjoy a “suite” experience a Caesars Palace. Only $175/night! Long story short, it was hard to ever leave the room.
For many, it has been a challenging 2020. Hope you can still have a Merry Christmas and focus on what we have been blessed with. New Year? Yes, please! Let’s go. Hope this Happy Holidays video card makes you smile or giggle. We all need that.
With having visited Bethlehem back on 24-Sep-2019, we couldn’t miss a glimpse of the Star of Bethlehem. But, not just a glimpse… took the extra step in photographing this rare great conjunction of the two planets – Jupiter and Saturn. The two worlds aligned to form a super-bright point of light some call the Christmas Star. Forbes and Live Science had great articles on the topic.
Our waiter at The Pantry suggested the scenic drive on CA-154 E (San Marcos Pass Rd) when we told him we were on our way back home taking US101-S. We were coming from Santa Maria and driving towards Los Angeles and glad we took this scenic route (… spotting falcons, deer, and all the lovely wineries) along the way. The vista point over Santa Ynez Valley was found directly after passing Lake Cachuma.
First time visiting Santa Maria, CA to pick up a 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000. Relieved after a long 6-hr drive from home to know the owners of the off road vehicle only lived 6 min from this hotel. When we made reservations, we didn’t know it was haunted.
