We just said goodbye to Hawaii for the 2nd time. 1st moving from Waikiki to our RV in America. Now, moving to Florida from Waianae, Hawaii. Butterflies in the stomach with this move back to the mainland. But, we look forward to all the cruise ports, arts & entertainment that flows through Tampa.
What is there to do on an NCL Freestyle Cruise to St Thomas, US Virgin Islands to Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau to Bahamas from Miami, Florida? I’ve taken pictures of Norwegian Escape’s Freestyle Daily. The only missing Freestyle Daily is for Day 5 while on port in Tortola. Sorry. Also you can get a peek at NCL Mandara Spa Menu and their NCL Fitness Schedule. Enjoy!
Time to move from Riptide RV Resort & Marina to Pelican’s Landing Resort. We jumped on I-95N and have a 4 hour drive. It’ll be our first time experiencing summer weather (defined as rainy season from May to October) in Florida. We had researched a good location to stay… staying coastal as much as possible… that would be a good basecamp for some surf, beach visits, play on our porta bote, and close enough to theme parks. Here’s where we ended up staying.
What is Riverboarding?
"Riverboarding is a whitewater activity that is basically like bodyboarding meets whitewater, but on a beefier, more buoyant board. Riverboarders lay on their stomachs on their boards and wear a helmet, PFD, wetsuit appropriate to the temperature, …
We used our $75 Shore Excursion Credit from Avoya Travel to experience Coki Dive Center’s – St. Thomas PADI Discover Scuba Course. It’s only my 2nd scuba dive… first time recently in Cozumel… to experience yet another thrill of being underwater surrounded by tropical fish aside live colorful reef in in crystal clear, warm waters.
We had just returned from the Carnival Conquest on a 7 Day Exotic Western Caribbean Cruise and saw a great cruise deal by Norwegian (NCL) for Monday Apr.7 to Thursday Apr.17, 2014 with all new ports to explore: Saint Thomas, USVI – Roseau, Dominica – Bridgetown, Barbados – Saint Lucia – Philipsburg, Saint Maarten. Oh boy! Check out all there was to do aboard the Norwegian Sun…
We just recently learned how to fish for tarpon. Today, we’ve changed it up and went to feed them…. HAND FEED these "silver kings!!!" I first learned about this cheap thrill from an Episode of TripFlip from the Travel Channel and was inspired to add it to our itinerary. Experiencing such a thrill in the states was unbelievable. They didn’t even ask us to sign a waiver.
Another windy day so instead of taking the porta-bote out, we fish off of No Name Key Bridge… right next to the Old Wooden Bridge Marina where we’ve rented a boat slip for the month. We’ve caught various fish from the bridge before… namely, Cero Mackerel and Black Grouper but today we learned how to fish for giant tarpons!
