Things to Do Onboard Carnival Miracle

December 2, 2018 |

The Carnival Miracle has onboard activities like their: Playlist Productions at their Phantom Lounge; guests can participate in a Lip Sync Battle; join or spectate at the Hasbro Game Show. Personally, I had much enjoyment at the Metropolis Lobby/Atrium learning dance moves or at the RedFrog Pub for a challenging competition of shuffleboard. Read More

Cruise Vacation Port Excursion: Jet Ski Tour in Grand Cayman

November 27, 2018 |

We arranged this port excursion outside of Carnival Miracle (as we did a past excursion when on Carnival Conquest). Typically, the cruise arranges tours to Stingray City but in massive boat loads. It’s not our idea of enjoyment brushing shoulder to shoulder with a crowd to get a glimpse of wildlife. We read a lot of great TripAdvisor reviews (4.5 out of 5 stars based on 114 reviews) about Action Water Sports. It’s actually our 2nd time using this company as we had just been here just last month. We reserved 2 jet skis as single riders (Total: $220) through Grand Cayman Cruise Excursions (Island Marketing Ltd). Read More

Carnival Miracle – Interior Stateroom 5157

November 25, 2018 |

I’ve been on the Carnival Magic (Sep 30 to Oct 07, 2018) with an Inside Stateroom #1262, plus the Carnival Conquest (Mar 09 to Mar 16, 2014) with a Balcony Stateroom #8336, so let’s see how the obstructed view Balcony Stateroom 5157 compares. Read More

13.7 Mile Brompton Bike Ride around Flatwoods Wilderness Park (Tampa, FL)

November 1, 2018 |

Cooler weather has begun in Central Florida (high 70°Fs – 80°Fs), so outdoor exploration is easier to do. We dusted off our Brompton folding bikes. In search for a trail that our thin bike tires can easily maneuver, we found a trail surfaced in asphalt – Flatwoods Wilderness Park: a paved loop that provides a wooded environment with abundant wildlife (such as armadillo, turtles, hawks, and deer to name a few)… with an extension which connects Bruce B. Downs Boulevard for a few extra miles to add the ride. Read More

Halloween Horror Nights – HHN28 – Universal Studios (Orlando, Florida)

October 24, 2018 |

I love zombies, vampires, werewolves, sci-fi and so Halloween season is fun… especially, living near a theme park known for movie-making. Without traffic, Universal Studios is about a 45 minute to 1 hour drive. The cool, breeze evening 71°F made for a comfortable event. Here’s the haunted houses we enjoyed this year and why it pays to buy an Express Pass.

Royal Caribbean – Allure of the Seas: 7 Night Caribbean Cruise (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

September 23, 2018 | 1

We received ~$600 credit in order to reserve this cruise accumulated from a Casino Bonus offer and partial refund from our noisy stateroom aboard the Serenade of the Seas in April. How couldn’t we take the opportunity for cruise travel before these credits expired?! Wouldn’t you SetSail? We were able to reserve Stateroom Cabin: 104, Deck: 9 which is my favorite ocean view room! Get familiar with Allure of the Seas with our photo tour. Read More

Video: Fishing with Family (Leesburg, FL)

September 9, 2018 |

Weather looming, a nice breeze and the sounds of thunder in the distance but that didn’t stop us from continuing to fish. Bill’s nephew Andy is quite the fisherman so he gave us some tips and had himself the right lures for the type of fish found here. Read More

Erasure – World Be Gone Tour (St Petersburg, FL)

July 7, 2018 |

The last time I went to a Erasure concert on Dec. 4, 1992 – senior year of high school, during their “Phantasmagorical Tour” at Jones Hall, in Houston, Tx. I was visiting my sister at Texas A&M where a bunch of friends had already purchased tickets. We all caravanned on this road trip adventure. For those of us who didn’t have tickets, we purchased ours from scalpers. Such a spontaneous journey and what a setlist they had back then. But Erasure can never fail to entertain. Read More
