Time to take the Brompton for a 15-mile bicycling loop in the Florida Everglades… specifically, an area called Shark Valley. They also have a tram tour but biking allows to explore the scenery of the Everglades at our own pace.
This morning’s mission is in search of a good breakfast burrito. One popular local joint nearby is Kono’s Surf Club Cafe in Pacific Beach. Not only attractive due to its location but prices. A breakfast sandwich (Eggs, bacon, cheese, tomato, mayo on toasted english muffin) is only $2.95. An egg burrito (Eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes, pica sauce in flour tortilla) is only $4.95!!!
We spent the night outside RV Specialist. They worked on our Montaj 29H RV yesterday and were making the final installation of the Roadmaster InvisiBrake system for our tow vehicle to the RV. While they still needed a few more hours this morning to complete the job, our stomachs grumbled. We decide to take out our Brompton folding bikes for a spin. Denny’s is only a little over a mile away. Perfect!
One of many advantages of owning a folding bike… in my case a Brompton… is portability. My Question all the cruise ships out there: What’s the protocol for folding bikes aboard your cruise ship? Can I take this super-compact form of transportation on my travels… specifically, when stopped at ports to explore?
Before purchasing a custom Brompton folding bike, a test drive is in order. Up to this point, all I’ve done is online research about folding bicycles. There are zero Brompton dealers in Hawaii. So on the same trip to purchase our 2010 Montaj 29H, we visit ElectricBikesLA.
