At the time, Hotel Artemide was rated 4 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor.com. The only hotel that provides complimentary Internet, daily breakfast buffet and all the drinks/cookies/snacks from their in-room bar/fridge. Oh, and a bathtub to soak after long, long, long, long walks all day.
First time to Italy! “Buon giorno” (Good Morning) to this August morning where we had to wake up extra, extra early for a 6:45am flight. Passport? Check! Travel Pillow & Blanket for what will be about a 37 hour route (including layovers)? Check! An appetite for true Italian thin crust pizza? Check!
You may or may not agree that we’re attached to our cars. We’ve done many a road trip with our own vehicle or by renting a car on trips. But, if you have the time for a longer journey that allows you to sit back and relax, then maybe consider train travel to the self-drive or flying. We did! Traveling by rail is less hassle than air travel. It’s easy to stretch your legs. It’s less stressful than driving!
We ate our way through downtown Seattle based on proximity and convenience and not so much researching The Best Eateries or reading Best Places to Eat in Downtown Seattle articles. Sometimes it pays to visit the hotel concierge or ask a few locals. We were quite pleased where we ended up with a few tasty bites.
If you like architecture, history, arts, music, food and shopping… Seattle has it all. Typically, I always visit the official Travel & Tourism website of a destination, in this case – Visit Seattle. Good news, much of the attractions and activities are walking distance or a quick bus trip away in Downtown Seattle. Check out Day 1 in Seattle. But here’s Day 2 of our 2 Days to give you ideas to add to your Seattle Itinerary.
Seattle is a great city when so many attractions are easily within walking distance for those who can hoof along their day like we like to do. Know your tastes and do alittle research before arriving so you don’t waste time getting from point A to point B on your walkabout Seattle. Here’s Day 1 of our 2 Days to give you ideas to add to your Seattle Itinerary.
