A Caribbean Experience: Feeding Wild Iguanas (Roatan, Honduras)

November 28, 2018 | 3

On our 3rd visit to Roatan, we were with family and wanted to introduce them to some local wildlife. We arrive by Carnival cruise, and the tour operator picked us up from the port. Arch’s Iguana Park was only one stop in-between a bit of sightseeing and snorkeling. We were all looking forward to learning more and feeding the wild iguanas. Enjoy the video. Read More

Amazing Animal Encounter with a Wild Three-Toed Sloth (Roatan, Honduras)

November 28, 2018 |

Sloths remind me of dolphins with their Mona-lisa smile. Whenever we return to Roatan, we always make a visit to see the sloths. Our first adventure to hold a sloth was back in 2014 travels… specifically, during a Carnival Conquest cruise. Check out our video summary of the experience while learning a few facts we gained during the tour. Read More

Cruise Vacation Port Excursion: Jet Ski Tour in Grand Cayman

November 27, 2018 |

We arranged this port excursion outside of Carnival Miracle (as we did a past excursion when on Carnival Conquest). Typically, the cruise arranges tours to Stingray City but in massive boat loads. It’s not our idea of enjoyment brushing shoulder to shoulder with a crowd to get a glimpse of wildlife. We read a lot of great TripAdvisor reviews (4.5 out of 5 stars based on 114 reviews) about Action Water Sports. It’s actually our 2nd time using this company as we had just been here just last month. We reserved 2 jet skis as single riders (Total: $220) through Grand Cayman Cruise Excursions (Island Marketing Ltd). Read More

Halloween Horror Nights – HHN28 – Universal Studios (Orlando, Florida)

October 24, 2018 |

I love zombies, vampires, werewolves, sci-fi and so Halloween season is fun… especially, living near a theme park known for movie-making. Without traffic, Universal Studios is about a 45 minute to 1 hour drive. The cool, breeze evening 71°F made for a comfortable event. Here’s the haunted houses we enjoyed this year and why it pays to buy an Express Pass.

Walking Photo Tour through Gumbalimba Park (Roatan, Honduras)

October 3, 2018 |

Not only a great opportunity for wildlife photography but a chance to pet animals while walking through a beautiful botanical garden on a beach-front park preservation at 20-acre Gumbalimba Park. Our tour wasn’t an official photo walk, but I created my own photo scavenger hunt as the park features white faced capuchin monkeys, exotic birds and other indigenous island animals. Enjoy a glimpse of the park through our photo walk. Read More

Stick-in-the-Muds at St Lucia’s Volcanic Mud Bath (Sulphur Springs, St Lucia)

April 13, 2018 | 2

Our port excursion we were stick-in-the-muds in St Lucia with Carnival Sailing with their Land & Sea Adventure.
