We enjoyed staying in Debbie’s New & Clean Makati Condo w/Balcony between Dec.16-26. Fairly new travelers renting from owners versus staying at a hotel, you always have some doubt if the ad matches what you actually get upon arrival. Happy to say that the pictures, represented on Airbnb, matched what we saw when we walked into the studio.
We enjoyed staying in Jayme’s Brand New Studio Unit in Makati between Dec.3-7. Fairly new travelers renting from owners versus staying at a hotel, you always have some doubt if the ad matches what you actually get upon arrival. Happy to say that the pictures, represented on Airbnb, matched what we saw when we walked into the studio.
Centrally located between Hilo and Kalapana on the East side of the Big Island, we had chosen Seeker’s Hive – A Home Away From Home. We rented the Pele Room for $49/night. Glad we did and in the future will rent again from these salt-of-the-earth hosts: Jay, Vijay and Sangeeth. They had just recently moved to the Big Island from Minnesota so they shared their passion for their new home!
A’Zambezi River Lodge was our gateway to experience all that Victoria Falls had to offer. Sunset cruises, fishing trips and such were located right on or beside the property. All of our tours provided pickup whether it was for our Canoe Safari on the Upper Zambezi River, Victoria Falls helicopter tour, or Morning Lion Walk… everything was convenient. The lodge didn’t disappoint as base to experience all this.
We had arranged this morning adventure with lion cubs through the A’Zambezi River Lodge concierge (a Wild Horizon Representative). Having just arrived late afternoon yesterday but what a great way to start our visit to Victoria Falls! The Lion Encounter still receives a 4.5 out of 5 rating based on 285 reviews on TripAdvisor. They’ll get another raving review from us!
Another “Trip of a Lifetime” to see The Big 5 at Kruger National Park, South Africa with a quick detour to see Victoria Falls. We’re so excited!!! We planned 20 Days in Kruger National Park back in September 2013. We still have to get our last series of Twinrix (travel immunization shots for HepA/B) for the trip.
Time to move from Riptide RV Resort & Marina to Pelican’s Landing Resort. We jumped on I-95N and have a 4 hour drive. It’ll be our first time experiencing summer weather (defined as rainy season from May to October) in Florida. We had researched a good location to stay… staying coastal as much as possible… that would be a good basecamp for some surf, beach visits, play on our porta bote, and close enough to theme parks. Here’s where we ended up staying.
RV Day #1: We start our RV Trip in San Diego, California. Our RV still wasn’t organized. We didn’t have supplies: hanging dryer, dishes or groceries. We still had to unpack our luggage of clothes. We had a lot of chores, like dusting and vacuuming. We have so much to learn about our RV so we can create good habits for traveling. In between, we would visit with friends and our old favorite hangouts.
