It was 100°F+ weather, at home. We decided to have a shady, summer escape to cooler weather amongst the granite rock formations and in elevations of 6,000 to 8,400 ft in the Haulapai Mountains. With 10 miles and 2,300 acres of hiking trails, plus 14 trails to choose from, we hopped onto the Potato Patch Loop Trail.
We learned, from other locals, that a permit is required in this small stretch of land near the Colorado River that offers access to some fun sand dunes and a handful of little beaches. Sounds like a great reason to get permission from the Indian Tribes (only $100/year)!
Our last hurrah and early Valentine’s celebration in Tampa before we move to Arizona. After a 5 year hiatus, Michael Bublé starts his Don’t Believe the Rumors tour here in Tampa to a sold out crowd. What a wonderful show …
Our 1st off-roading joyride on our 2015 Polaris Rzr 1000 XP 4. Excited to go with our neighbor who owns a side by side. Bill recently installed a horn and license plate kit so we can eventually make it street legal. We’re interested to learn how it rides on grass, gravel and sand. Here’s how it went.
Neighbor takes us on a joyride with his new all-terrain, off-road Yamaha Viking. It started on a crisp, cloudy morning – 67°F and 8:00am. I got caught in the barrel of a muddy wave! I’m thinking, “The person in front always gets it!” And it’s all caught on video. Thanks a mil, Simi..!
I have absolutely no experience with a sewing machine. Don’t own a machine. Never been inside a fabric store. This creative, crafty subject matter is absolutely foreign to me. I’ve been searching for sewing classes but all have skipped to projects that assume you are already familiar with a sewing machine, so when local Jo-Ann store scheduled a Beginner Basic Learn to Sew class, I was in!
From taking Ice Skating Lessons at the Ice Sports Forum in order to eventually take their Learn Hockey class, we enjoy a game of H-O-R-S-E and/or “Around the World” to keep us active. Luckily, we have the Mike E Sansone Community Park nearby.
